An enquiry to make the lead-filled brass beading (made in 4ft. lengths) for this bonnet led to the manufacture of the entire bonnet including setting rivets in the lead and fitting the beading. The louvres were cut to match the original pattern. Further beading was then made and fitted to the rear coachwork.

The car subsequently took part in the Perth-Sidney rally.
